How the Scoring System Works

Every vendor on this leaderboard is scored across five equally weighted categories, each worth up to 20 points for a maximum of 100. The categories are: COA availability (is a batch-specific certificate of analysis publicly accessible before purchase?), third-party testing (is the lab accredited and independent from the vendor?), labeling accuracy (do product pages state peptide name, sequence, molecular weight, and purity?), company transparency (are ownership, location, and contact information verifiable?), and research-only policy clarity (does the site explicitly state products are for in-vitro or laboratory research only, not human consumption?).

Scores are based on what's publicly documented at the time of review. A vendor that posts COAs but links to the same undated PDF for every batch loses points in the COA category because batch-specific traceability is the standard. A vendor that lists a third-party lab by name but that lab has no accreditation record loses points in the testing category. This isn't a vibe check. Every deduction has a documented reason.

Why Research-Only Policy Language Is a Scored Category

Research peptide vendors operate in a legal gray area in the United States. These compounds are sold legally as research chemicals for in-vitro and laboratory use, not for human consumption. Vendors that clearly state this on product pages, at checkout, and in their terms of service are operating with more legal and ethical clarity than those that bury the disclaimer in a footer or omit it entirely. That clarity matters for researchers who need to document their sourcing.

The FDA does not approve research chemicals for human use. Standings Movement: What Changed This Cycle

Peptide Sciences held the top spot from the previous review cycle and extended its lead by improving batch-specific COA linking across more of its catalog. The gap between first and second place widened from four points to six points, driven primarily by the COA and third-party testing categories.

Swiss Chems dropped one position compared to the prior cycle after inconsistencies in lab name disclosure were identified across its peptide catalog.
